Alteration Sewer/ Tailor

Job Description

Young’s Cleaners is looking for someone who is an expert in sewing or tailoring garments. Our production team prides itself on taking exceptional detail and care of our customers garments and we are searching for an individual who takes pleasure in creating a quality product and service.

Responsibilities

• Fit and alter clothing according to customers' and clothing manufacturers' specifications

  • Measure clients to ensure proper product fit.

• Repair or replace defective garment parts such as pockets, zippers, snaps, buttons, and linings

• Organize workload and complete items on time to meet or exceed productivity targets

• Educate customers on proper fit, shop COVID procedures and guidelines in a professional and friendly manner

• Able to do fittings

• Able to work to specific deadlines

Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Excellent attention to detail

Qualifications

• 10 year experience in sewing and altering garments

• Strong understanding of garment fabrics and construction
